CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />p Project PROPOSAL FOR ENGINEERING, TECHNICAL AND ADMINSTRATIVE SERVICES <br />y' Partners <br />2.3 Public Sector Staff Augmentation Experts <br />Today's environment has changed. Merely providing <br />good staff is no longer sufficient. Compliance with <br />labor laws is critical. To be compliant with CalPERS <br />laws and to be protected from CaIPERS penalties, the <br />City needs to select a firm that has expertise in <br />providing contract staff to public sector organizations. <br />Project Partners is that firm. <br />Merely providing <br />good staff is no <br />longer sufficient. <br />Compliance with <br />labor laws is critical. <br />There is no .doubt that we are public sector staff <br />augmentation experts. Throughout our 20-year history, we have been worked closely with top <br />legal firms to understand the complexities of California pension law and develop workable <br />solutions for our clients. We have developed the know-how to legally work within the laws to <br />allow our clients to have flexible staff solutions the need to move projects forward. <br />From the many webinars we have hosted to the talks given to the seminars led, Project Partners <br />is no doubt public sector staff augmentation experts. Selecting Project Partners would allow <br />the City to have a flexible staff solution it wants. <br />2.4 CalPERS Compliance is CRITICAL <br />We believe the City 'understands that compliance with <br />CaIPERS related Labor Laws is critical. Project Partners knows <br />how to achieve and maintain compliance with contract staff in <br />public sector organizations. We have developed a <br />comprehensive operational system that helps us keep our <br />staff and our clients in compliance with state and federal labor <br />and pension laws. Key components of this system are <br />presented below: <br />Understanding the Law. Project Partners understands the multitude of complex public - <br />sector labor laws that relate to public sector contract staffing. We not only understand the <br />laws, but we realize they are dynamic and we aggressively track them to monitor changes <br />and legal interpretations. <br />Comprehensive Processes and Procedures. Together with several Southern California labor <br />law firms, we have developed comprehensive processes and procedures for having contract <br />staff in public sector organizations.
