3. UPDATE ON VARIOUS PROJECTS <br />3a. City Wide Volunteer Program (Strategic Plan No. 1.1f) <br />o Executive Director of Human Resources Agency Steven Pham and Sr. Human <br />Resources Analyst Tania Knauerhaze provided an update on the City Wide <br />Volunteer Program and answered questions. <br />o Sr. Human Resources Analyst Tania Knauerhaze, provided information on one <br />time -event volunteers and MOD's with Non -Profits for events. <br />o Mayor Pro Tern Villegas requested an update on the number of volunteers <br />denied, as a result of the program. <br />3b. City's Swimming Pool Project (Strategic Plan no. 2.2a) <br />o Administrative Services Manager Ron Ono, provided an update on the City's <br />pools. In addition, on May 8, 2019 Crown Castle volunteer service event that will <br />be held at Memorial Park that assisted in painting the pool changing rooms and <br />installing plant material in the pool planters. <br />o Executive Director of Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency Lisa <br />Rudloff, informed the Committee on additional items related to the pool. <br />o Council Member Iglesias, asked if there is a possibility to have concessions and <br />vendors to sell items at the pool. <br />o Mayor Pro Tern Villegas, stated he is happy to hear the pools will be open for a <br />longer period of time this summer. <br />3c. 61h and Lacy Ground Breaking Event (Strategic Plan no. 4.4a) <br />o Community Services Manager Jeannie Jurado, provided information on the <br />ground breaking event held on Saturday March 30, 2019 where over 150 <br />residents attended the event. <br />3d. Youth Sports CPRS Award (Strategic Plan no. 2.2b) <br />o Community Services Manager Jeannie Jurado, provided information on the <br />CPRS District 10 Award received from the California Parks and Recreation <br />Society. <br />o Executive Director of Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency Lisa <br />Rudloff, provided additional information on CPRS. <br />o Mayor Pro Tern Villegas, requested to have this item on a future agenda for City <br />Council. <br />3e. Proposition 68 Park Grant Applications (Strategic Plan no. 4.4a) <br />o Administrative Services Manager Ron Ono, provided an update on Proposition <br />68 Park Grant. <br />o The City of Santa Ana will be applying for projects at Standard/McFadden site, <br />Memorial Park and Raitt and Myrtle site. <br />o Council Member Iglesias, inquired about a dog park in Santa Ana. <br />o Executive Director of Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency Lisa <br />Rudloff, provided information on the upcoming Parks and Master Plan process, <br />regarding dog parks and fields. <br />2 <br />
