Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute an agreement with the <br />Metropolitan Water District of Southern California through its Future Supply Actions Funding <br />Program for the Restoration of Local Recharge Sources from Invasive Dreissenid Mussels <br />Study, for the term commencing May 7, 2019, through December 31, 2021, for an amount not <br />to exceed $122,796. <br />3. Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute agreement with the Orange <br />County Water District to complete the Restoration of Local Recharge Sources from Invasive <br />Dreissenid Mussels Study, for the term commencing May 7, 2019, through December 31, 2021, <br />at a 50%-share cost not to exceed $122,796. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD) issued a Request for Proposals to <br />Metropolitan member agencies for technical studies or pilot projects under the Future Supply <br />Actions Funding Program (FSA Funding Program) to enable effective future resource planning and <br />potential development of recycled water, seawater desalination, stormwater, and groundwater <br />enhancement.
