2021 winter holiday closure, unless mutually agreed to otherwise by the <br />parties. <br />C. Dates of Closures: <br />2019: <br />The closure shall run from Tuesday, December 24, 2019 through <br />Wednesday, January 1, 2020. The City shall re -open and <br />employees report back to work as scheduled on Thursday, <br />January 2, 2020. Employees shall observe the three (3) City paid <br />holidays provided in Section 9.1 on: <br />Tuesday, December 24, 2019 (Last work day before Christmas <br />Day) <br />Wednesday, December 25, 2019 (Christmas Day) <br />Wednesday, January 1, 2020 (New Year's Day) <br />On each of the holiday closure days for 2019: <br />(December 26, 30 and 31, 2019 as well as December 27, 2019 for <br />those employees who, but for the holiday closure, would be <br />scheduled to work that day as theirworking Friday, employees may <br />use any of the following accrued leaves (if employees have such <br />leaves): vacation, compensatory time off, or holiday leave. <br />Employees may also choose to be off on any or all of these days on <br />a leave without pay. <br />2. 2020: <br />The closure shall run from Thursday, December 24, 2020 through <br />Friday, January 1, 2027. The City shall re -open and employees <br />report back to work as scheduled on Monday, January 4, 2021. <br />Employees shall observe the three (3) City paid holidays <br />provided in Section 9.1 on: <br />Thursday, December 24, 2020 (Last work day before Christmas <br />Day) <br />Friday, December 25, 2020 (Christmas Day). For employees <br />whose alternating regular day off is on December 18, 2020 who <br />would otherwise be scheduled to work on December 25, 2020, <br />the Christmas Holiday is on December 25, 2020.
