Agreement Number: <br />AGREEMENT FOR TRANSFER OR PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT/SERVICES OR FOR <br />REIMBURSEMENT OF TRAINING COSTS <br />FOR FY2018 URBAN AREAS SECURITY INITIATIVE (UASI) <br />BETWEEN <br />THE CITY OF ANAHEIM <br />AND CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this 8th day of May 2019, by and between <br />the CITY OF ANAHEIM, a municipal corporation (the "CITY"), and CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />(the "SUB -RECIPIENT" or "Contractor"). <br />WITNESSETH <br />WHEREAS, CITY, acting through the Anaheim Police Department in its capacity <br />as a Core City for the Anaheim/Santa Ana Urban Area under the FY18 Urban Areas <br />Security Initiative, has applied for, received and accepted a grant entitled "FY 2018 <br />Urban Areas Security Initiative" from the federal Department Of Homeland <br />Security(DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), through the State of <br />California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (CaIOES), to enhance countywide <br />emergency preparedness (the "grant"), as set forth in the grant guidelines and <br />assurances that are incorporated to this Agreement by reference and located at: <br />"U.S. Department of Homeland Security "Fiscal Year 2018 Homeland Security Grant <br />Program (HSGP) Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO)" https://www.fema.gov/media- <br />I i b ra ry-data/1526578809767- <br />7fO8f471f36d22b2cOd8afb848048c96/FY 2018 HSGP NOFO FINAL 508 odf <br />California Office of Emergency Services "FY2018 Homeland Security Grant Program: <br />California Supplement to Federal Program Guidance and Application Kit" <br />https://www.caloes ca aov/GrantsManagementSite/Documents/FY%202018%20HS <br />G P%20State%2OGuidance.pdf <br />Copies of the grant guidelines shall be retained in the Anaheim/Santa Ana Grant <br />Office. <br />WHEREAS, this financial assistance is administered by the CITY OF ANAHEIM <br />("CITY") and is overseen by the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services <br />("CalOES"); and <br />WHEREAS, this financial assistance is being provided to address the unique <br />equipment, training, planning, and exercise needs of large urban areas, and to assist <br />them in building an enhanced and sustainable capacity to prevent, respond to, and <br />recover from threats or acts of terrorism; and <br />
