Councilmember Iglesias, directed staff to update ordinance to provide better <br />enforcement that is consistent with other cities. Supportive of review of <br />ordinance to be considered by the Public Safety, Code Enforcement and <br />Neighborhood Empowerment Council Committee. <br />COMMENTS <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS (Non-Agendized Items). <br />The following spoke: <br />• Peter Katz, thanked City Council for securing the Bowers Museum to host the annual event, <br />Neighborhood of the Year, Community Achievement, Most Beautiful Yard and Neighborhood Hero; <br />and spoke on the preparation efforts of the 150t' celebration. <br />• Dale Helvig, provided City Council with update of meeting with 2525 Main Street developer. <br />• Dolores Aguilar, unsupportive of Lincoln Avenue Pathway project. <br />• Paul Lujan, unsupportive of Lincoln Avenue Pathway project. <br />• Jessica and Kevin Schell, addressed City Council to express concern over lack of progress of dog <br />attack investigation. <br />90A. CITY MANAGER'S COMMENTS <br />City Manager Ridge announced that the Public Works Agency/Water Resources <br />Division partnered up with the Metropolitan Water District to provide upcoming <br />free native landscaping workshops and classes at the Santiago Creek Wildlife <br />and Watershed Center at Santiago Park; the Santa Ana Stadium employee <br />aerial photo event will be taken on June 27, 2019; and first-time homeowner's <br />workshop for low and moderate income households. Provided report on panel <br />participation on the Orange County State of the Market. <br />9013. CITY COUNCILMEMBER COMMENTS <br />Councilmember Solorio, requested staff to coordinate meeting with Park Santiago <br />Residents, Orange County Transportation Authority and MetroLink to address the <br />Lincoln Avenue Pathway project, noted Senator Umberg relocating District office <br />to the Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center, directed staff to send welcome <br />letter to Senator Umberg, and noted unveiling of historical mural at the Heritage <br />Museum of Orange County designed by local artist with help of many students. . <br />Councilmember Penaloza, reported attendance at Transportation Corridor <br />Agency, upcoming attendance to the National Association of Latino Election <br />Official (NALEO), welcomed Senator Umberg to our city and invited Senator Daly <br />to relocate his office to the City of Santa Ana. <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 20 JUNE 18, 2019 <br />1 OA-20 <br />
