From:Orozco, Norma
To:Bernal, Sarah
Cc:Mitre-Ramirez, Norma; Huizar, Maria; Rojano, Michael
Subject:FW: Proposed 2525 N. Main Developemnt
Date:Monday, October 22, 2018 10:06:24 AM
FYI – Planning Commission Meeting Correspondence
From: Susan [mailto:s.hyatt714@sbcglobal.net]
Sent: Monday, October 22, 2018 9:49 AM
To: eComment <eComment@santa-ana.org>
Subject: Proposed 2525 N. Main Developemnt
Proposed Development at 2525 N. Main, Santa Ana
My concerns are the evident fast tracking of the proposed development at 2525 N. Main St.
The final EIR is scheduled for public release 10/26/18. If the Planning Commissioners decide
to vote on this project 11/5/18, that only gives the public 10 days to review it, submit
comments and Planning Commissioners to read the comments. I read the draft EIR and it not
only was an estimated 350 pages, it was obviously written for professionals, not layman. Of
course, I didn’t understand some of the technical, complex information, but just reading it took
me days. If the Planning Commissioners meet and vote on the project on 11/5/18 - one day
before the election of new City Council members, it makes the timing appear like the vote is
being pushed through so the current City Council members would be voting on the final
decision before they leave office. Is that intentional? the strategy?
Why the rush to make a decision?? It’s amazing how many people living in Park Santiago
have lived here between 20-45 years....so, we’ll still be here....no rush. Let’s make the right
decision for Park Santiago residents.
Susan Hyatt
Park Santiago Resident
RECEIVED 10/22/18
