First,
I am a resident of the Park Santiago neighborhood, and support the many comments made by my fellow residents at
the October 22, 2018 Planning Commission Meeting.
Following review of the video of the October 22, 2018 Planning Commission meeting I have two chief concerns: the
first, it appears that the office of Planning and Building is purposely trying to speed the process up without regard to
the time needed to address issues in the
2525 Main EIR and in direct opposition to the will of the citizens most effected by this plan, and against the
expressed advice of the Chair, Mr. McLoughlin. Second, it would seem that Mr. Minh Thai is purposefully
miscommunicating and/or waiting until the last minute when time for discussion has ended, to insert his will with
regards to the proposal so that the board and public cannot properly address an issue. My hope is that the Planning
Commission will consider extending the time for consideration of the 2525 Main EIR so that our newly elected city
council members will be able to address issues that they will be held to account for in the future. I thank you for
you service to our city and appreciate your time and consideration.
Respectfully,
Andrea Schartz
809 E. 21st Street
Santa Ana, CA 92706
