This notice is being provided <br />to all interested parties that have expressed interest in the proposed action or that live within a 500’ radius of the proposed <br />project so that you can ask questions, make comments and stay informed about projects that might be important to you. <br />We encourage you to contact us prior to the Public Hearing if you have any questions. <br />Planning Commission Action - The Planning <br />Commission will hold a Public Hearing to receive public <br />testimony, and will take action on the application for <br />Conditional Use Permit No. 2019-09 as described below. <br />The Planning Commission decision is final unless appealed <br />within 10 days of the decision by any interested party or <br />group. <br />What is the Proposed Project?– The applicant <br />currently operates an existing eating establishment (Café <br />Cultura) located at 324 West Fourth Street, Unit B and is <br />proposing to expand operations into the adjacent suite, Unit <br />A (formerly known as The Barrel Room). The applicant is <br />requesting approval of Conditional Use Permit No. 2019-09 <br />to modify an existing Conditional Use Permit granted to Unit <br />A to sell alcoholic beverages for on-premise consumption. <br />The modification will allow the sale of alcoholic beverages for <br />on-premise consumption (Type 41 – Beer and Wine) to <br />expand from Unit A to Unit B. In addition, the applicant is <br />proposing to provide a 609-square foot enclosed outdoor <br />patio facing Fourth Street; the proposed patio area will be <br />enclosed with a 42-inch high metal railing. The proposed <br />project is located in Specific Development 84 zoning district. <br />Environmental Impact - In accordance with the <br />California Quality Environmental Act (CEQA), the proposed <br />project is categorically exempt pursuant to CEQA Guidelines <br />Section 15061(b)(3) - No Significant Effect on the <br />Environment. Categorical Exemption ER No. 2019-19 will be <br />filed for this project. <br />Meeting Date, Time and Location - This matter will <br />be heard on Monday, March 25, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. in the <br />City Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, <br />California 92701.
