<br />PROJECT NEED:
<br />The local street network has 316 miles citywide. In
<br />2007 the City embarked on an extensive citywide
<br />improvement plan to rehabilitate and slurry seal the
<br />majority of the network. By the end of 2015, the City
<br />has completed rehabilitating all asphalt residential
<br />streets and currently working toward improving all
<br />residential concrete streets.
<br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
<br />This project entails the rehabilitation of existing
<br />roadway pavement for local streets. The project will
<br />include the removal and replacement of existing
<br />concrete streets. Various replacement pavement
<br />strategies will be investigated to determine the most
<br />cost effective and maintainable treatment. Minor
<br />concrete repair to severely damaged or missing curbs,
<br />gutters, sidewalks, and wheelchair ramps will also be
<br />included. Work in FY 19/20 will focus on the Heninger
<br />Neighborhood.
