jurisdiction, or otherwise does not go into effect for any reason, then this ordinance shall <br />be null and void and have no further force and effect. <br />Section 6. This ordinance shall not be effective unless and until the Orange <br />County Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) passes a resolution adopting the <br />annexation of the County island. If the resolution is for any reason held to be invalid or <br />unconstitutional by the decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, or otherwise does <br />not go into effect for any reason, then this ordinance shall be null and void and have no <br />further force and effect. <br />Section 7. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of <br />this ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of <br />any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the <br />remaining portions of the ordinance.
