CD k 0 <br />C c t\o> �{ L- �V'r SUB -AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />RANCHO SANTIAGO COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT <br />AND <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />FOR THE <br />STRONG WORKFORCE PROGRAM - LOCAL FUNDS INITIATIVE <br />This sub -agreement (hereinafter "Agreement") is entered into on this 171s day of June 2019, <br />between Rancho Santiago Community College District (hereinafter "RSCCD") and City of Santa <br />Ana (hereinafter "SUBCONTRACTOR"). RSCCD and SUBCONTRACTOR may be referred to <br />individually as a "Party" and collectively as the "Parties" in this Agreement. <br />WHEREAS, RSCCD received a categorical apportionment award entitled "Strong Workforce <br />Program" Local Funds Initiative from the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office <br />(hereinafter "PRIME SPONSOR"), to improve the quality and increase the quantity of <br />community college Career Technical Education (CTE) courses, programs, and pathways to <br />achieve successful workforce outcomes by addressing recommendations from the Strong <br />Workforce Task Force, including the recommended provision of student services related to <br />career exploration, job readiness, job placement, and work -based learning. <br />WHEREAS, RSCCD has the right to enter into agreements with outside entities for various <br />services with the approval of the Board of Trustees; and <br />WHEREAS, SUBCONTRACTOR has agreed to participate in the purpose of the Agreement <br />according to the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties agree as follows: <br />1. Statement of Work <br />SUBCONTRACTOR will perform the work as described in the Scope of Work (Exhibit A), <br />which by reference is incorporated into this Agreement. SUBCONTRACTOR agrees to <br />comply with all provisions, to perform all work as set forth in this Agreement and the <br />aforementioned Statement of Work in a professional, timely and diligent manner. <br />2. Period of Performance <br />The period of performance for this Agreement shall be from June 18, 2019, through <br />December 31, 2020. <br />3.
