HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION MINUTES 6 April 4, 2019 <br />***END OF WORK STUDY CALENDAR*** <br />COMMENTS <br />7.STAFF MEMBER COMMENTS: None. <br />8.COMMISSION MEMBER COMMENTS <br />Commissioners thanked staff for their efforts. <br />Commissioner Murashie <br />•Announced that the Floral Park Home Tour will be held on April 27-28. <br />Vice Chair Schaefer <br />•Announced that the West Floral Park Garden Tour will be held on May 11. <br />Commissioner Rush (comments read by Chair Christy) <br />•Inquired about the Joe Musil planters on 4th Street that are set to be demolished. <br />o Staff responded they are aware. <br />•Inquired about the Craftsman Bungalow Swiss style home located at 718 S. <br />Broadway. <br />o Staff responded that it is currently under construction <br />•Inquired about the current process in place to protect historic trees. <br />Chair Christy <br />•Congratulated Commissioner Contreras-Leo and Hardy for being elected to the <br />Historic Preservation Awards Ad Hoc Committee. <br />•Announced that a meeting on Human Trafficking will be held on April 11 at the John <br />Adams Library (flyer distributed). <br />ADJOURNED 7:35 P.M. – The next regular meeting of the Historic Resources Commission <br />scheduled for Thursday, July 4, 2019 is cancelled.
