Staff <br />reported that the City does not have authority to prevent demolition of non-designated <br />historic structures. Commission would like more information on the process for the <br />demolition of historic properties. Staff will review with the City Attorney and report back. <br /> <br />Commission also inquired on their authority to require the placement of plaques on historic <br />properties. Concern was expressed for maintenance of vacant properties. Staff will work <br />with Code Enforcement to address concerns. <br /> <br /> <br />7. HISTORIC DESIGNATION & MILLS ACT APPLICATION FEES <br /> <br />Executive Director Thai reported that staff is conducting a fee study to determine the actual <br />costs incurred for processing applications. Will report back in April. Commission expressed <br />frustration with the amount of time it has taken to determine the costs.
