<br />BEFORE THE SANTA ANA PLANNING
<br />COMMISSION
<br />The City of Santa Ana encourages the
<br />public to participate in the decision-
<br />making process.This notice is being
<br />provided so that you can ask
<br />questions,make comments and stay
<br />informed about projects that might be
<br />important to you.We encourage you to
<br />contact us prior to the Public Hearing if
<br />you have any questions.
<br />Planning Commission Action :The
<br />Planning Commission will hold a Public
<br />Hearing to receive public testimony,and
<br />will take action on the item described
<br />below.Their decision is final unless
<br />appealed to the City Council within 10
<br />days of the decision by any interested
<br />party or group.
<br />Project Location:501 N.French Street in
<br />the Transit Zoning Code (Specific
<br />Development No.84,Downtown sub-
<br />zone.
<br />Project Applicant:Noble Ale Works
<br />Proposed Project:The applicant is
<br />proposing to establish a new restaurant
<br />and brewery (Noble Ale Works)within an
<br />existing building.The applicant is
<br />requesting approval of (1)Conditional Use
<br />Permit No.2019-26 to allow a Type 41
<br />(On Sale Beer &Wine –Eating Place)
<br />Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC)license
<br />for the sale of beer and wine for on-
<br />premises consumption,(2)Conditional
<br />Use Permit No.2019-27 to allow an
<br />artisan/craft product manufacturing
<br />brewery,and (3)Conditional Use Permit
<br />No.2019-28 to allow after-hours
<br />operation until 1:00 am on Friday and
<br />Saturday.
<br />Environmental Impact:In accordance
<br />with the California Environmental Quality
<br />Act,the project is exempt pursuant to
<br />CEQA Guidelines Section 15301,Class 1.
<br />This exemption applies to the operation,
<br />repair,maintenance,permitting,leasing,
<br />licensing,or minor alterations of existing
<br />public or private structures,facilities
<br />involving no expansion at the time of the
<br />lead agency's determination.No new
<br />building square footage is proposed as
<br />part of the project.Based on this analysis,
<br />a Notice of Exemption,Environmental
<br />Review No.2018-17 will be filed for this
<br />project.
<br />Meeting Details:This matter will be
<br />heard on Monday,September 23,2019
<br />at 5:30 p.m.in the City Council
<br />Chambers,22 Civic Center Plaza,Santa
<br />Ana,California 92701.All persons
<br />interested in this matter are notified to
<br />appear at this time.
