ARTICLE IV <br />4.0 SALARIES <br />4.1 Basic Compensation Plan. There is hereby established a basic compensation plan for all <br />members of the Association who are now employed or will in the future be employed in any <br />of the designated classifications of employment listed in this MOU. <br />4.2 Salary Schedule. The basic salary schedule, as periodically updated and published by the <br />City is comprised of four (4) steps or rate ranges of pay for sworn (CaIPERS "Safety") <br />employees and five (5) steps or rate ranges ofpay for non -sworn (CalPERS "Miscellaneous") <br />employees. <br />Effective July 1, 2019, a Step "E" (approximately 5% increase from Step "D") will be added <br />to the sworn classifications in this unit. The basic salary schedule for sworn (CaIPERS <br />"Safety") employees will be increased to five (5) steps or rate ranges of pay. <br />The steps within each range are identified by the letters "A" through "E" inclusive for sworn <br />(CalPERS "Safety") classifications and "AA" through "D" inclusive for non -sworn <br />(CalPERS "Miscellaneous") classifications, with Step "A" being the lowest step for sworn <br />(CaIPERS "Safety") and Step "AA" being the lowest step for non -sworn (CaIPERS <br />"Miscellaneous") classifications. <br />The assignment of classes to salary rate ranges during the term of this MOU is listed in the <br />City's salary schedule, as periodically updated and published by the City. <br />4.3 Salaries. <br />A. The base salaries of employees covered by this MOU shall be adjusted as follows: <br />Effective July 1, 2018, classifications covered by this MOU shall receive a <br />retro-active base salary increase of five (5) salary rate ranges <br />(approximately 2.5%). <br />2. Effective January 1, 2019, classifications covered by this MOU shall <br />receive a retro-active base salary increase of five (5) salary rate ranges <br />(approximately 2.5%). <br />3. Effective July 1, 2019, classifications covered by this MOU shall receive a <br />retro-active base salary increase of eight (8) salary rate ranges <br />(approximately 4%). <br />#11140v2 <br />
