INSUMNCE NOT RE t1UMED <br />WORK MAY PROCEED <br />CLEW OF, COUNCIL <br />OCT 2 k 20lg <br />MEMORANDUM OP UNDERSTANDING <br />BETWEEN <br />CHAT GRANT SERVICE PROVIDERS <br />AND <br />CITY Olt SANTA ANA POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />This Memorandum of Understanding CIMOU'") stands as evidence that Olive Crest, a Californin <br />non-profit corporation, mid Child Guidance Center, a California non profit corporation, said <br />partners ocmprising a collaborative howri an "CHAT GRANT SERVICE PROVIDERS" and <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA POLICE DEPARTMENT {'SAPD"} Intend to work together toward the <br />mutual goal of providing maximum available assistance for child crime victims residing in Orange <br />County. Both aganoies believe the implementation of the Child Abuse Treatment (CHAT) <br />Program application will further this goat, To this end, the two agencies agree to participate In the <br />exchange of services by coordinating the provision of CHAT Program objectives. <br />CHAT GRANT SERVICE PROVIDERS will closely coordinate the following services <br />with SANTA ANA POLICE DEPARTMENT. <br />a. The CHAT GRANT SERVICE PROVIDERS will refer to SAPD suspected child <br />victims of abuse to Include neglect, sexual, physical and emotional abuse, domestic <br />violence, school and community violence, hate orlmes, child abduction, ohildrenwhose <br />lives are victimized by parental substance abuse, high tocb crimes against children, and <br />runaway youth to ensure the cosantion of the abuse by providing Ildoges to establish <br />a safe onvirooment for the children), <br />b. The CHAT GRANT SERVICE PROVIDERS will receive referrals from SAPD for <br />suspected child victims of child abuse to include neglect, sexual, physical and <br />emotional abuse, domestic violence, school and community violence, hate crimes, obiid <br />abduction, children whose lives are victimized by parented substanoe abuse, high tech <br />crimes against children, and runaway youth far assisting them In understanding and <br />participation in the crimhial justieo system4ndieial proceedings as the result of a crime <br />oommitted against the child, <br />o The CHAT GRANT SERVICE PROVIDERS will receive referrals from SAPD for <br />suspected child vlotims of child abuse to include neglect, sexual, physical and <br />emotional abase, domestic violence, school and community violence, hate crimes, child <br />abduction, children whose lives are victimized by parental substance abuse, high tech <br />orliiues against children, and runaway youth fbr treatment services to include <br />psychotherapy and other related services as those victims are Identified through <br />SAPD'S normal course of business. <br />2. SAPD will closely coordinate the following services with the CHAT GRANT SERVICE <br />PROVIDERS. <br />a. SAPD will reeoivo referrals form the CI4AT GRANT SBRVICES PROVIDERS <br />N-2019-225 <br />
