<br />frames, doors and other surfaces; remove any spilled liquids or solids; remove carpet stains; pick up all
<br />towels fi"om floor or counters within locker rooms and fitness center areas, placing towels in the proper
<br />rcceptacle(s),

<br />as furniture surfaces. This includes atrium wood ledges and specialty equipment such as test equipment,
<br />computers, typewriters, calculators, etc„ which are located anywhere between the floor surface and up to
<br />nine (9) fact in height. Dusting shall be accomplished by the removal of loose soil from the area -- not
<br />by moving it from one surface to another,

<br />Contractor shall comply with the City's requirement to implement a program to promote cost•effective
<br />waste reduction in all operations and facilities covered by this contract. The Contractor's programs shall
<br />comply with applicable Federal, State, and local requirements, including the following regulations:
<br />Assembly Bill 341-- requires entities that generate four or more cubic yards of waste per week fo
<br />arrange for recycling services
<br />A8 1826 - requires entities that generate four or more ruble yards of waste per week to strange
<br />for recycling of organic waste
<br />Senate Bill 1383 — will require municipalities to procure recycled content paper products for at
<br />least 75% of annual paper buy and to retain records of all recycled content paper procurement,
<br />This requirement includes custodial paper products,

<br />In an, effort to conilrly with state recycling mandates (Assembly [tills 341 and 1826), beginning on or
<br />before the effective elate of this contract, the City will transition to a `centralized' recycling system at all
<br />City facilities. The centralized recycling system wilt require all City employees to only dispose or
<br />recyclable items at their work stations. Recyclable materials include: paper, plastic, glass, atuminurn,
<br />cardboard, and any other materials accepted by the City's rubbish hauler,
<br />The selected eontraetor shall be required to empty all workstation receptacles on a daily basis and return
<br />the receptacles to their initial location. The contents of the workstation receptacles shall be consolidated
<br />and deposited in the facilities' single -stream revdirt dumpstcr. Workstation recycling receptacles do
<br />not need plastic liners.
