The Office for Civil Rights (OCR), Office ofJostiee Programs (0)P), U.S. Department of justice (D(J) is responsible for ensuring that recipients of financial assistance from the OJP, the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS), and the Office on Violence Against Women (OV W) comply with the applicable federal civil rights laws.
