DISCUSS AND CONSIDER DIRECTING CITY MANAGER TO DIRECT STAFF <br />AS APPROPRIATE, THE CITY'S CURRENT MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING LIVING <br />IN RECREATIONAL VEHICLES (RVS) AND NEED TO UPDATE IT TO BETTER <br />COMPLY WITH CURRENT STANDARDS - COUNCILMEMBER SOLORIO <br />Councilmember Solorio requested for a resolution for enforcement of recreational <br />vehicles (RVs) and large vehicle code and requested for an update. <br />Council Member Iglesias requested that permit parking be provided to residents as an <br />option to park large size vehicles. <br />Council Member Penaloza spoke in support of the item. <br />85B. DISCUSS AND CONSIDER DIRECTING CITY MANAGER TO DIRECT STAFF <br />TO BRING FORWARD A RESOLUTION TO OPPOSE THE TRUMP <br />ADMINISTRATION'S GROSS AND HATEFUL CHANGE TO THE "PUBLIC CHARGE" <br />RULE, WHICH WILL NEGATIVELY IMPACT SANTAANA'S MOST VULNERABLE <br />RESIDENTS AND IMMIGRANT COMMUNITY - COUNCILMEMBER PENALOZA <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Claudio Gallegos, representing Congressman Lou Correa, spoke in support of the item. <br />Council Member Penaloza requested that a resolution be brought to Council to adopt in <br />opposition to the current change of the public charge rule. <br />Mayor Pro Tern Villegas recessed the meeting 7:29 p.m. and reconvened at 7:30 p.m. <br />Council Member Iglesias that educational efforts be added to the resolution. <br />DRAFT CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 15 September 17, 2019 <br />10A-15 <br />
