provided basic services to over 8,000 veterans and placed 161 veterans into <br />employment with an average wage of $26.00/hour in 2018.We utilize a comprehensive <br />data base called WarriorServe and which tracks completion of individual career and <br />financial plans as well as training. As charter members of the Orange County Veterans <br />and Military Families Collaborative (OCVMFC) TCVS Director Denton Knapp currently <br />serves as the Vice -Chair (OCVMFC) and Community Veterans Engagement Board <br />(CVEB). He is a National Board Member, US Veterans Business Alliance (USVBA), a <br />Board Member on Association of the United States Army (AUSA), Greater Los Angeles <br />Chapter, and Commander (Brigadier General), Army Component Command; California <br />State Military Reserve. Marine Veteran Jeff Pagano, Manager of the Tierney Center, is <br />the Chair for the Resource Working Group and also sits on the Steering Committee. <br />Jeff is also the VP of the US Veterans Business Alliance. We have a proven record of <br />performance with the America's Warrior Partnership grant, Operation Goodjobs, and <br />we successfully completed our Orange County Community Foundation Veteran's <br />Initiative and were chosen for two additional projects serving veterans through the <br />Orange County Community Foundation. <br />VI.2. Infrastructure/Staffing---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />r ----- <br />Our current veterans program employs 16 full time staff and 1 part time staff. 80% of <br />our current staff is veterans with extensive experience in working with veterans and <br />veteran organizations. To ensure that grant activities are completed within the <br />performance period, a detailed project work plan is developed by the Program <br />Supervisor and are distributed among staff and partners. The current staffing outlined <br />in the budget includes 1 FTE for the Program Supervisor, and 2 FTE's for the <br />Employment Specialists. Additional in -kind staffing for the current project includes <br />business developers who will be connecting with employers. Outreach Specialists will <br />be conducting outreach in the community at the county VSO office as well as the <br />community colleges and veterans functions and events. Our Employment Specialists <br />have a 20 year combined experience in recruiting, human services, mental health, sales <br />and marketing and program management <br />VI.3. Past/Present Performance <br />-November 2013-December2015 Operation GoodJobs subgrant through Goodwill <br />International and Walmart. This pay for performance grant focused on serving 300 <br />veterans by providing Individualized Career and Financial Plans, job placement, job <br />retention, and earned credentials. <br />-May of 2015-Present TCVS was selected fora National Award from America's Warrior <br />Partnership. This four year grant funded the development of a warrior community within <br />Orange County in which the goal is to establish relationships with 80% of the post-9/11 <br />veterans. Success is measured by usage of VA benefits, reduction in veteran <br />homelessness, reduction in unemployment, and enrollment into a national database, <br />2807/099999 2489 11276904.2 a10/31/19 -3 7 <br />' <br />
