jmf 11/12/19 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2019-113 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING THE WATER SUPPLY <br />ASSESSMENT FOR THE PROPOSED MAINPLACE MALL <br />MIXED -USE PROJECT LOCATED AT 2800 NORTH MAIN <br />STREET <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with California Water Code Sections 10910, <br />10912(a)(1), and 10912(a)(6), any development that is proposing a mixed -use project that <br />includes a proposed residential development of more than 500 dwelling units requires the <br />preparation and approval of a water supply assessment; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed MainPlace Mall Mixed -Use Project located at 2800 <br />North Main Street is proposing development of a mixed -use project including up to 1,900 <br />residential dwelling units; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed MainPlace Mall Mixed -Use Project therefore requires <br />the preparation and approval of a water supply assessment pursuant to California Water <br />Code Sections 10910 and 10912; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana is the public water system that currently supplies <br />and will supply water to the proposed MainPlace Mall Mixed -Use Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the projected water demand associated with the proposed MainPlace <br />Mall Mixed -Use Project was accounted for in the City of Santa Ana 2015 Urban Water <br />Management Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the Water Supply Assessment for the MainPlace Mall Mixed -Use <br />Project has been prepared; and <br />WHEREAS, the findings from the Water Supply Assessment prepared for the <br />MainPlace Mall Mixed -Use Project show that there is sufficient water supply available for <br />the proposed MainPlace Mall Mixed -Used Project during normal, single -dry, and multiple <br />dry years within a 20-year projection to meet the projected water demand of the Project <br />in addition to the demand of existing and other planned future uses, including, but not <br />limited to, agricultural and manufacturing uses. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana as follows: <br />Section 1. The Water Supply Assessment for the MainPlace Mall Mixed -Use <br />Project is hereby approved, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit A and will be on file at <br />the offices of the Public Works Agency of the City for public inspection. <br />Resolution No. 2019-113 <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
