City of Santa Ana 2015 UWMP, Table 5.2.1 <br />4.7.1 Demand Management Measures (DMM) <br />The Santa Ana Water Utility Division, in collaboration with MWD, works to develop water conservation <br />techniques to reduce the total potable water demand throughout the City and the greater area. In total <br />there are 15 required Demand Management Measures (DMMs) within the City. The DMM list located in <br />the CitVs 2015 UWMP and includes Best Management Practices (BMPs) for areas such as: operations, <br />educational programs, residential surveys, incentive programs, efficient water saving unit replacement <br />programs, and more applicably incentives for commercial and industrial uses.' The complete listing of <br />DMMs follows: <br />• No washing down hard or paved surfaces <br />• Limit on watering hours <br />• Re -circulating water required for water fountains and decorative water features <br />• Drinking water served upon request only <br />• Limits on washing vehicles <br />Commercial lodging establishments must provide guests option to decline daily linen services <br />• Restaurants required to use water conserving dish wash spray valves <br />• Obligation to fix leaks, break, or malfunctions <br />No installation of single pass cooling systems <br />Commercial car wash systems <br />• No excessive water flow or runoff <br />No installation of non -recirculating water systems in commercial car wash and laundry systems <br />No watering during or within 48 hours of measurable rainfall <br />5 City of Santa Ana 2015 UWMP, Chapter 6. <br />Kimley>))Horn 55C-31 Page 123 <br />
