PROGRAMS FOR <br />EARLY CHILDHOOD LEARNERS <br />"Parent and Me" Nature Play <br />REACH POTENTIAL : 900 PEOPLE <br />Early -childhood programs will include a "Parent and <br />Me" Nature Play class that incorporates unstructured <br />nature play and is based on the existing Growing Up Wild <br />curriculum. Designed for young children ages birth to 5 <br />years old, this program will use First 5 and early learning <br />principles to build skills and comfort with the natural <br />environment for our littlest residents and their guardians. <br />Young children will have their first experiences in nature <br />at the zoo with guided free play and introductions to <br />animal friends. Parents and guardians will learn strategies <br />and activities to get their children outside in a safe and <br />educational setting. <br />19C-14 <br />
