What do you need to know about user access for online benefits and/or absence administration and <br />tracking? What's changing? <br />All Users: <br />• If you are logging into your account on Aetna's website or the mobile app, you will see a message <br />with a link to The Hartford's Ability Advantage portal. <br />• Aetna's website and mobile app are no longer available; however, The Hartford's Ability Advantage <br />site has the same functionality and is fully mobile responsive - the portal can be accessed from a <br />phone, tablet or computer. <br />• You will be able to use your existing Aetna user ID and password to access Ability Advantage. <br />• Once logged in, you will be able to: <br />o View both active and historical claims, and <br />o View copies of letters, forms, emails and payments issued by Aetna and to see any <br />subsequent claim activity administered by The Hartford after the transition. <br />• Additionally, you can upload documents directly into The Hartford's Ability Advantage portal by using <br />your web browser functions and/or using the camera upload features. <br />Employers: <br />• If you have responsibilities to pay The Hartford invoices and/or perform plan administration activities, <br />you will now have easy access to those functions on The Hartford's online portal. <br />• If you have systems administration permissions, you will now see the WEST Administration tool <br />name changed to "Manage User Access." <br />• If you have systems administration permissions, you will now see a new set of roles and permissions <br />for billing and participant administration. <br />c For improved security and privacy, only users with role -based permissions will be able to <br />access and view the medical underwriting status of employees. <br />• You will see improved navigation between your Supervisor dashboard and your own personal claim <br />information. <br />• You will have access to policy forms and flyers provided by The Hartford. <br />• If you have life coverage transitioning, note that any life claim in progress on Aetna's Employee <br />Secure Website needs to be submitted before your policy transition date --September 1, 2019—to <br />ensure the claim is processed. <br />Employees: <br />• Claimants will have a new option to inquire about their claims, payments or any other topic <br />with online chat support. <br />• Employees can now view medical underwriting status, along with a copy of the decision letter. <br />User guides with more details specific to employers and employees will be available on the <br />Ability Advantage site. <br />i, How to File a Claim videos will be available to all users under the Quick Links -Take A Tour <br />section on the landing page of Ability Advantage. <br />The Hartford® is The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. and its subsidiaries, including underwriting companies Hartford Life and Accident <br />Insurance Company and Hartford Fire Insurance Company.
