EXHIBIT A <br />City of Santa Ana — Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Program — Scope of Work <br />I Safety Workshops <br />Presentations and interactive workshops that will educate residents on bicycle <br />and pedestrian safety strategies, including nationally recognized best practices <br />and emerging successes from localities across California. <br />Deliverables: 4 Safety Workshops <br />1b Bicycling Basics <br />Bicycling Basics classes are geared towards new riders to teach basic skills <br />and build confidence in riding a bicycle. All classes will be taught by trained <br />League Cycling Instructors (LCls). <br />Deliverables: 3 Bici Basics Classes <br />1c Wrench and Ride <br />Wrench and Ride is a nine -week program, hosted at The Bicycle Tree, in which <br />participants learn about bicycle anatomy, bike safety, and maintenance. <br />Deliverables: 3 Wrench and Ride Programs <br />2a Data Workshop <br />Data workshops provide quantitative and/or qualitative data collection and <br />collision data analysis for walking and biking. These sessions will help build <br />understanding of community members of the needs that exist and safety <br />concerns. <br />Deliverables: 2 Data Workshops <br />2b Walk Assessment <br />Community -led walking and biking assessments will outline potential <br />challenges and opportunities to increase walking and biking. Pedestrian/bicycle <br />counts to support the need for projects may also be included in the <br />assessment. <br />Deliverables: 1 Walking Audit <br />2c Action Planning <br />Action planning sessions allow participants to identify infrastructure and non - <br />infrastructure solutions to address their pedestrian and bicycle safety concerns <br />and plan for the implementation of the project. <br />Deliverables: 2 Action Planning Sessions <br />2d Open House <br />Community open house events allow community members to share/present <br />knowledge and experience gleaned from participation in walking and bicycling <br />
