B <br />Santa Ana; CA 92705 <br />Re: Prison to Employment ME) in Orange County — Letter of Support <br />Dear Ms. Lacy: <br />On behalf of Chrysalis, i am pleased to write this letter of support for Orange County's proposal under the Prison to <br />Employment (P2E) initiative. if awarded, funding would provide critical resources, enabiing the region to better serve <br />the formerly -incarcerated, The initiative will succeed by fostering partnerships between the local workforce <br />development system, CDCR and parole, County Probation, community -based organizations (CBOs) like ours — along with <br />a range of other partners coming together to serve the formerly incarcerated and justice involved local population: <br />Chrysalis has been serving the reentry community for 35 years as a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a <br />pathway to self-sufficiency for homeless -and low -Income individuals by providing the resources and support needed to <br />find and retain employment. At Chrysalis, we empower our clients to overcome their barriers to employment and <br />complete a self -directed job search. <br />In fall2018, Chrysalis opened its first location in Orange County, located in Anaheim, Leading up to opening, and since, <br />the local workforce development and reentry services community has welcomed us with open arms.
