("Speaker/Performer") <br />310 West Broadway <br />Anaheim, CA 92805 <br />Re: Speaker/Performer Engagement Agreement <br />N-2020-011 <br />This letter represents your agreement with the City of Santa Ana ("City") as entered into on the above <br />date for the engagement described below (the "Agreement"): <br />Event Description. Free Census Information Sessions, as further outlined in the attached Exhibit A. <br />Cynthia Sanchez from the Orange County Congregation Community Organization will conduct 3 <br />informational sessions during the term of the contract. Each visit will be provided free of charge to the <br />City of Santa Ana. Each session will be 1 hour in length. Event dates will be scheduled at least 30 days <br />in advance by the Library Director or his or her designee. <br />2. Event Date. January 13, 2020 through March 14, 2020. <br />3. Event Time. To be determined by Library Director or his or her designee. <br />4. Event Locations. Santa Ana Public Library (Main Library), 26 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana and <br />Newhope Public Library, 122 N. Newhope Street, Santa Ana ("Property"). <br />5. Compensation. None. The event is free of charge to the City of Santa Ana and its residents. <br />6. Equipment provided by City. The City is responsible for setting up the space for the event and promotion <br />of event. City staff will be present at all times during the information sessions. <br />Equipment provided by Speaker/Performer. All equipment, animals, materials, supplies, and personnel <br />necessary to perform the act shall be provided by the Speaker/Performer. For example: all equipment <br />necessary, including, without limitation, sound technicians, speakers, laptop/music, table, microphone, <br />headphone, and strobe light shall be the responsibility of the Speaker/Performer to provide insofar as they <br />are necessary to perform the sessions. <br />8. City Contact Person (for coordinating purposes only). Patty Lopez (714) 647-5325. <br />9. Independent Contractor. Speaker/Performer shall, during the entire term of this Agreement, be construed <br />to be an independent contractor and not an employee of the City. This Agreement is not intended nor <br />shall it be construed to create an employer -employee relationship, a joint venture relationship, or to allow <br />the City to exercise discretion or control over the professional manner in which Speaker/Performer <br />performs the services that are the subject matter of this Agreement; however, the services to be provided <br />by Speaker/Performer shall be provided in a manner consistent with all applicable standards and <br />regulations.
