4.3.2 The Contractor shall bring in extra start' to perform annual maintenance to not; <br />disrupt the routine maintenance staff. <br />4.4 Playground Safety Inspections <br />4.4.1 The City shall be responsible for all playground safety inspections and the repairs <br />of any equipment. <br />Sport Facility Management and Maintenance Services <br />The Contractor shall establish a "Sport Facility Maintenance Crew" to specifically perform <br />specified sport Facility/court/field/tuu'f management and maintenance. <br />Sport facilities/fields are all areas where sports are played and practiced. They include the field of <br />play, sideline/dugout areas, batting eages, pitcher's bull pens, etc. They are areas where coaches, <br />players and others associated with playing or practice (lie sport gather. <br />Sport facilities maintenance areas include, but are not limited to, sport courts, grandstands, areas <br />around concession stands, fence lines, and score boxes. <br />5.1 Daily Sport Facility Maintenance <br />5.1.1 The Contractor shall service all sport facilities by picking -up trash and debris, <br />blowing/cleaning all areas and amenities, and washing -off areas to remove brick <br />dust and/or other stains from all hardscape and amenities. In addition, the <br />Contractor shall remove debris such as sunflower seeds or peanut shells so all areas, <br />including beneath and on bleachers, backstops, pavement and landscape areas, are <br />100% free and clean. All debris mentioned above shall be collected and disposed <br />of. Blowing debris into turf or adjacent areas is not acceptable. <br />5.1.2 The Contractor shall clean/wash sport facility infra-structure/courts where leaves <br />and other debris collect, including, but not limited to, between chain link fence <br />backstops and back -boards, between windscreens and fencing, etc. <br />5.1.3 The Contractor shall continuously replace all basketball and tennis court nets once <br />they become torn, frayed or vandalized. Nets shall be provided to the Contractor by <br />the Director's Representative, <br />5.2 Daily Sport Field Maintenance <br />5.11 Each day the Contractor's Sport Facility Maintenance Crew shall walk the sport <br />Curl and fill-in divots and depressions and all uneven areas with Simplot USGA <br />mix, mixed with Stovers seed at [lie manufacturers recommended rate: a) Stover <br />Seed Company's Grand Slam FS in the fall winter: and, b) Stover Seed Company's <br />Pro Sportfield Extreme in the spring/sumrner. <br />5.2.2 Areas of the field where turf has been worn away due to play or practice shall be <br />raked, dragged and leveled each day to provide a level and safe playing surface. <br />City of Santa Ana RFP 19-092 i <br />Page 25 <br />
