Asphalt end concrete pathways shall be maintained with the use of a <br />commercial ride -on or walk -behind sweeper/scrubber unit. Decomposed granite <br />pathways shall be maintained through raking to limit particulate pollution in <br />animal habitats due to leafbtowers (blowers shall not be used on decomposed <br />granite walk areas). <br />6,1.14 Washing Landscape Material - To maintain plant health, May through October, <br />all plant material shall be hosed clown with a strong spray of water for the <br />removal of accumulated dust and cobwebs. <br />6.3. t 5 [nspection of Perimeter Fence - Daily the Contractor shall inspect the integrity of <br />the chain link perimeter fence for breaches and advise the Zoo Manager or <br />Director's Representative of issues, <br />6.3.16 Trimming and Weed Removal within Exhibits - Monthly the Contractor shall <br />blow -off leaf litter accumulating on animal exhibit roofs, netting, cages, etc <br />including, but not limited to, Colors of the Amazon Bird Aviary. Monthly the <br />Contractor shall inspect plant material in the animal exhibits for damage to the <br />netting and trim plants pushing through animal exhibit roofs, netting, cages, etc, <br />to prevent damage. Contractor shall perform weed removal in the Anteater and <br />Amazon's Edge exhibits each spring. <br />6.3.17 Pressure Washing - The Contractor shall perform daily pressure washing of paved <br />areas, site furniture, drinking fountains, etc. in the caf6 eating area <br />6.3.18 Resetting Seating— The Contractor shall, Monday through Sunday, before <br />10:00am each morning, reset all tables and chairs in the Zoo. <br />6.3.19 Blowing -Off Exhibits — The Contractor shall blow-off/clean animal exhibit roofs, <br />netting, cages, etc. on a routine basis. Prior to performance, the Contractor shall <br />coordinate with an Animal Care staff person. <br />6.3.20 Storrs Drain Maintenance— The Contractor shall continuously maintain the Zoo's <br />storm/area drains, including the fitter fiber by keeping them clean and free of <br />debris. The Contractor as necessary shall change the stornVarea drains filter fiber, <br />which shall be provided by the Zoo. <br />6.4 Vacant Lots -- T'he Contractor shall perform daily blowing -off, trash and debris removal <br />at the following properties: <br />6.4.1 Standard & McFadden <br />6.4.2 Raitt & Myrtle <br />6.4.3 625 S.
