Tyler Para <br />Pacoima Wash Mountain Bikeway, Mia Lehrer and Associates for <br />Mountains Recreation & Conservation Authority (MRCA), Los <br />Angeles, CA, Design Engineer responsible for preparing hydrology and <br />hydraulic calculations required for modifications and additions to the <br />storm drain system for the proposed pedestrian bridge over Pacoima <br />Wash. Tetra Tech was contracted bylandscape architects Mia Lehrer <br />Associates (MLA) to prepare the plans, specifications, and estimates for <br />the design and construction ofa3.25-mile Class I bikeway; including <br />multi -phase planning, design coordination, administrative approval <br />process and preparation of engineering and construction plans. The <br />new bikeway connects densely -populated areas of the San Fernando <br />Valley to each other, to existing future parks and amenities, including <br />the Angeles National Forest. The design of the bike path included <br />protective fencing along the uvash, si.gnage and striping of existing service <br />roads, approximately 1.5 miles paved areas, striping of street crossings, <br />protected crossing of rail bridge, inclusion of additional bridge crossings <br />over Pacoima Wash, and native landscape planting and irrigation, The <br />bikeway is planned as multi -use (bicycle, pedestrian and equestrian) and <br />where space allows, a separate and protected path for pedestrians will be <br />incorporated into the design for maximum safety of users, <br />Newhall Ranch Land Development, Mission Village, The Newhall <br />Land and Farming Company, Valencia, CA. Design Engineer responsible <br />for street plans, profile sheet sets, signing and striping in compliance <br />with county codes and regulations. Design Engineer responsible for the development of plan <br />and profile, geometric design, and conceptual striping plans,.
