<br /> <br /> <br />FINAL MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> <br />October 1, 2019 <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION MEETING <br /> <br />REGULAR CLOSED SESSION MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL - OCTOBER 1, <br />2019 - 5:00 P.M. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER – MAYOR PULIDO <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Villegas called the closed session meeting at 5:11 p.m. Mayor Pulido <br />joined the meeting at 5:14 p.m. and Councilmember Sarmiento joined the meeting at <br />5:17 p.m. Seeing no one wishing to speak, Mayor Pulido recessed the meeting at <br />5:11 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBERS Present: <br />Mayor Pulido <br />Mayor Pro Tem Villegas <br />Councilmember Iglesias <br />Councilmember Penaloza <br />Councilmember Sarmiento <br />Councilmember Solorio <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBERS Absent: <br />Ward 4 is vacant as of Friday, March 2019. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS – None <br /> <br />There were no public comments made. <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION ITEMS - The Brown Act permits legislative bodies to discuss <br />certain matters without members of the public present. The City Council finds, based on <br />advice from the City Attorney, that discussion in open session of the following matters <br />will prejudice the position of the City in existing and anticipated litigation: <br /> <br />1. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL – EXISTING <br />LITIGATION pursuant to Paragraph (1) of subdivision (d) of Section <br />54956.9 of the Government Code: <br /> <br />A.
