<br />BEFORE THE SANTA ANA PLANNING
<br />COMMISSION
<br />The City of Santa Ana encourages the
<br />public to participate in the decision-
<br />making process.This notice is being
<br />provided so that you can ask
<br />questions,make comments and stay
<br />informed about projects that might be
<br />important to you.We encourage you to
<br />contact us prior to the Public Hearing if
<br />you have any questions.
<br />Planning Commission Action :The
<br />Planning Commission will hold a Public
<br />Hearing to receive public testimony,and
<br />will take action on the item described
<br />below.Their recommendation will be
<br />forwarded to City Council for final
<br />determination at a later date.
<br />Project Location:Calvary Church
<br />located at 1010 N.Tustin Avenue and
<br />1100 B N.Tustin Avenue in the
<br />Profession
<br />(P)zone.
<br />Project Applicant:Michael Welles
<br />representing Calvary Church
<br />Proposed Project:The applicant
<br />proposes to establish a specific
<br />development to allow a mixed-use
<br />development at Calvary Church,allowing
<br />religious,educational and office uses on
<br />the church campus.In order to facilitate
<br />the project,the applicant is requesting
<br />approval of the following land use
<br />entitlement:Amendment Application No.
<br />2018-09 to change the zoning of the
<br />property from Professional (P)to Specific
<br />Development No.95 (SD-95).In
<br />conjunction with the land use entitlement,
<br />the applicant is requesting approval of
<br />Mitigated Negative Declaration No.2009-
<br />19 as it has been determined that the
<br />project would result in a less than
<br />significant impact with the implementation
<br />of a mitigation measure for air quality,
<br />biological resources,cultural and tribal
<br />cultural resources,geology and soils,
<br />greenhouse gas emissions,hazards and
<br />hazardous materials,hydrology and water
<br />quality,noise,public services,
<br />transportation and traffic,and utilities and
<br />service systems.
<br />Environmental Impact:In accordance
<br />with the California Environmental Quality
<br />Act (CEQA),the Planning Commission
<br />will consider the Mitigated Negative
<br />Declaration that was prepared for the
<br />project to analyze the potential impacts of
<br />the project and identify measures to
<br />mitigate the environmental effects.
<br />Meeting Details:This matter will be
<br />heard on Monday,December 9,2019 at
<br />5:30 p.m.in the City Council Chambers,
<br />22 Civic Center Plaza,Santa Ana,
<br />California 92701.All persons interested in
<br />this matter are notified to appear at this
<br />time.
