5. Households with Seniors <br />Per the 2013-2017 U.S. Census 5-Year Housing Unit Estimate, 7.2%2 of the total households consist <br />of occupants 65 years of age or over. Specific care is taken to identify and address the needs of <br />senior occupants who may require special accommodations. Based on information obtained from <br />residential interviews, 3 households have occupants that are overthe age of 65. <br />6. Households with Disabilities <br />Per the 2013-2017 U.S. Census 5-Year Housing Unit Estimates, 6.7 %3 of the civilian non - <br />institutionalized population consist of persons with a disability. Disabilities may include a variety <br />of physical mobility impairments, including psychological and other physical health issues. Care is <br />taken to meet the special needs of each household, particularly as these needs involve physical <br />access to accommodations. Early identification of individual health issues would enable <br />relocation staff to more effectively manage the relocation process. In all cases involving physical <br />or mental impairments, additional services will be provided to ensure close individual case <br />monitoring. Based on information obtained from the residential interviews, there may be one <br />households with one occupant that may have disabilities. <br />7. Preferred Relocation Areas <br />The residential interviews identify specific replacement site needs and preferences and assist in <br />planning replacement housing accordingly. In residential interviews, many residents tend to <br />express a preference to remain in the community in orderto maintain current school enrollment, <br />access to employment, medical facilities, recreational resources, and public transportation. Field Survey Data - Non -Residential <br />The Project has identified one non-residential occupant that would be displaced. Survey <br />information was obtained from this one business owner. <br />The one business impacted by the Project would be considered a small business. The affected <br />business would require cost-effective medium to small accommodations to new home as it is <br />a Day Care operated from the impacted person's home, with proximity to existing customer <br />base. A detailed interview with the business owner is instrumental in identifying suitable <br />replacement sites. <br />Generally, interviews with the business tenants are crucial in addressing various complex <br />relocation issues early in the process, including issues such as identification of trade fixtures and <br />equipment, tenant improvements, personal property/real property issues, and the relocation <br />requirements of various businesses that may become long lead items, such as obtaining special <br />permits or zoning requirements.
