I�:I:II:l��e3 <br />Summary of Community Development Block Grant Nonprofit Applications <br />FY 2020-2022 <br />Delhi Center <br />Teens Engaged in Learning and Leadership (TELL) <br />A leadership development program that trains teens to take an active role in designing and <br />implementing educational and team building activities in their community that teach younger <br />children about gang prevention, problem solving, conflict resolution, avoiding risk and making <br />safe choices. <br />Proposed number to be served:250 <br />Currently Funded: $68,461 CRHC Recommendation: $75,000 <br />Strategic Plan Alignment: 2, 2a Funding Request: $146 170 <br />Girl's Inc of Orange County <br />Literacy Lab <br />Literacy Lab ensures that 120 elementary school girls per year in Santa Ana reach grade level <br />reading by fourth grade. Small group reading with mentors and educators, engaging activities, <br />a summer camp, and family literacy nights build a love of reading and a strong educational <br />foundation. <br />Proposed number to be served: 240 <br />Currently Funded: N/A <br />CRHC Recommendation: $77,500 <br />Strategic Plan Alignment: 2, 2a Funding Request: $120,000 <br />Human Options <br />Assisting Domestic Violence Victims <br />The project will provide intensive case management services to Santa Ana residents who self <br />report domestic violence or who. are referred by the Domestic Violence Response Team. Case <br />management services will include safety planning, assessment of needs and linkages to <br />needed resources. <br />Proposed number to be served: 80 <br />Currently Funded: N/A <br />CRHC Recommendation: $60,000 <br />Strategic Plan Alignment: 1, 1d Funding Request: $76,597 <br />Lutheran Social Services of Southern California (LSSSC) <br />Victims Intervention Program (VIP) <br />The Victims Intervention Project (VIP) will provide women who are victims of crime with <br />evidence -based recovery services — direct mental health services, rental assistance, <br />hotel/motel vouchers, intensive case management, transportation, life skills training and other <br />supportive services. <br />Proposed number to be served: 150 <br />Currently Funded: $30,000 <br />CRHC Recommendation: $60,000 <br />Strategic Plan Alignment: 5, 4d Funding Request: $150,000 <br />60A-19 <br />
