Orozco, Norma <br />From: Maria Ruvalcaba <maria.ru91@gmail.com> <br />Sent: Tuesday, March 03, 2020 3:56 PM <br />To: eComment <br />Subject: Item 65A <br />Dear Santa Ana City Council and Mayor, <br />My name is Maria and I both live and work in Santa Ana. <br />I am writing to oppose Item 65A for the construction of a dog park in Centennial Park. <br />As the study report shows, it would be of best interest to build the dog park on the Bristol and Garden Grove <br />Freeway piece of land instead of at Centennial Park. <br />The Bristol and Garden Grove location has higher visibility and access, and no impact to open spaces in Santa <br />Ana-- an already park -poor city. That location is surrounded by apartments and homes that would benefit from <br />an open space for their pets, but not the space at Centennial Park. <br />The residents of Santa Ana need spaces to be active, healthy, and spend quality time with their families <br />outdoors, not spaces for their dogs. Families already take their dogs out for walks and there is already a large <br />amount of dog feces on the grass and track area of Centennial. <br />Please build the dog park in the Bristol - Garden Grove location, not at Centennial. <br />Thank you. <br />Sincerely, <br />Maria R.G. <br />
