Customers are responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of Carts. Contractor shall <br />steam clean Carts upon request of Customers at the rates shown in the approved rate <br />schedule. <br />All Carts in service for the duration of this Agreement shall comply with color and <br />labeling requirements specified by CalRecycle under SB 1383. <br />4.7.4.3 Bins <br />A. Cleaning and Maintenance. Contractor shall provide Customers with <br />Bins required during the term of this Agreement and maintain Containers in safe <br />working condition. The size of Contractor -provided Bins shall be determined by <br />mutual agreement of Customer and Contractor, and shall be subject to City approval. <br />All Bins in use shall be constructed of heavy metal, or other suitable, durable material, <br />and shall be watertight and well painted. Wheels, forklift slots, and other apparatuses, <br />which were designed for movement, loading, or unloading of the Bin shall be <br />maintained in good repair. <br />Upon Customer or City request, or if required to maintain the Containers in a clean <br />condition, Contractor shall clean Customer Bins at the rates shown in the approved rate <br />schedule. Contractor shall perform cleaning, repainting, or replacement of Bins as <br />necessary to prevent a nuisance caused by odors or vector harborage. When a Bin is <br />removed for cleaning, Contractor shall replace the Bin, either temporarily or as a <br />change -out, with another Container. <br />B. Bin Identification and Color. Each Bin placed in City by Contractor shall <br />have the name of Contractor and phone number in letters not less than three (3) inches <br />high on the exterior of the Bin so as to be visible when the Bin is placed for use. Bins <br />shall be labeled to include bilingual (English and Spanish) and graphic instruction on <br />what materials should and should not be placed in each Bin. Contractor shall repaint <br />Bins upon City's request if the City deems it necessary to maintain a neat appearance. <br />All Refuse Bins shall be painted a uniform color of, and all Recycling and Organics Bins <br />shall be painted a different, uniform color. <br />All Bins in service for the duration of this Agreement shall comply with color and <br />labeling requirements specified by CalRecycle under SB 1383. <br />C. Bin Exchanges. Contractor may charge the Bin exchange fee included in <br />March 9, 2020 60A68157 City of Santa Ana - DRAFT <br />
