1.28 Electronic Waste or E-Waste
<br />"Electronic Waste" or "E-Waste' means electronic equipment and includes, but is not
<br />limited to, stereos, televisions, computers and computer monitors, VCRs, cellular
<br />phones, fax machines, household copiers, computer printers, other electronic items with
<br />electric plugs that are banned from landfilling, and other similar items commonly
<br />known as "brown goods."
<br />1.29 Environmental Law
<br />"Environmental Law" means any federal and state statute, county, local and City
<br />ordinance, rule, regulation, order, consent decree, judgment or common-law doctrine,
<br />and provisions and conditions or permits, licenses and other operating authorizations
<br />relating to (i) pollution or protection of the environment, including natural resources,
<br />(ii) exposure of Persons, including employees, to Hazardous Materials or other
<br />products, raw materials, chemicals or other substances, (iii) protection of the public
<br />health or welfare from the effects of by-products, wastes, emissions, discharges or
<br />releases of chemical substances from industrial or Commercial activities, or (iv)
<br />regulation of the manufacture, use or introduction into commerce of chemical
<br />substances, including, without limitation, their manufacture, formulation, labeling,
<br />distribution, transportation, handling, storage and Disposal.
<br />1.30 Executive Director
<br />"Executive Director" means the Executive Director of Public Works of the City of Santa
<br />Ana, or his or her designate.
<br />1.31 Facility
<br />"Facility" means any plant or site, owned or leased and maintained, operated or used by
<br />Contractor for purposes of performing under this Agreement.
<br />1.32 Food Waste
<br />"Food Waste" means all kitchen and table food scraps, animal or vegetable waste that is
<br />generated during or results from the storage, preparation, cooking or handling of food
<br />stuffs; discarded compostable paper that is contaminated with Food Waste; fruit waste,
<br />grain waste, dairy waste, meat, and fish waste, which has been Source Separated from
<br />other Solid Waste. Food Waste is a subset of Organic Materials and excludes Hazardous
