Grant Agreement No. 4600011889 <br />Page 27 of 32 <br />EXHIBIT E <br />AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION <br />RESOLUTION NO.2017.9 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSIONERS OF THE SANTA ANA WATERSHED <br />PROJECT AUTHORITY AUTHORIZING THE GENERAL MANAGER, OR <br />DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT AND SUB -AGREEMENTS FOR <br />THE DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITY INVOLVMENT PROGRAM INTEGRATED <br />REGIONAL. WATER :MANAGEMENT PLANNING GRANT WITH THE STATE OF <br />CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF WATER RESOURCES <br />WHEREAS, the Santa Ana Watershed Project Authority is the accepted Regional Water <br />Management Group within the Santa .Ana Funding Area of the California Integrated Regional Water <br />Management Program; <br />WH KREAS, the One Water One Watershed 2.0 Planhas a goal to acoemplish effective, <br />equitable and collaborative integrated water management, with the obfoct ve of engaging with <br />disadvantaged curnmunities to eliminate environmental injustices; <br />WH EREAS, the Disadvantaged Communities Involvement Program win 1) explore The <br />strengths and needs of overburdened communities in the watershed, 2) will through engagement and <br />education uncover and share the needs and capacities within water agencies and cmnanunities, and 3) <br />will asasu integrated water management projects that are supported by communities are made ready <br />for implementation and prioritized in the OWOW Plan Update 2018; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT Rk SOLVED that the Commission of the Santa Ana <br />Watershed Project Authority, pursuant to Section 22050 of the California Public Contract Code, <br />hereby resolves that: <br />The Gencral Manager, or Designee, is authorized to execute a grant agreement with the State <br />of California, Department of Water Resources, and associated sub-agreemcnts, to accept and <br />conduct the work of a Disadvantaged Community involvement Program Grant pursuant to <br />the Water Quality, Supply, and Infrastructure Improvement Act of 2014 (Water Code Section <br />79700 et seq.) <br />ADOPTED THIS 16i day of May, 2017. <br />SANTA ANA WATERSHED PROJECT AUTHORITY <br />By_ / " L <br />Susan Lien Longville.
