Orozco, Norma
From: Jenny Rios <JennyRios@del hicenter.org>
Sent: Tuesday, March 17, 2020 1:59 PM
To: eComment
Subject: Public Safety Impacts Related to COVID-19
I would like to express my concerns in the event that the City Council decides to expand closure of non-
essential services at tonight's Council meeting. At Delhi Center, we conduct food distribution to our most
vulnerable families the second and fourth Tuesday of every month and sometimes more often when food
sources are available. We are working on identifying alternative methods for food distribution, which may
include drive -by pick-ups, home delivery to residents' doorsteps, and pick up by appointment. We are
incorporating as many protections as we can based on CDC recommendations and we have volunteers and
staff who are prepared to continue the service. I would like to ask the City Council to allow us to continue to
serve the community in this manner in the event of wide -spread closures.
Thank you for your consideration.
Jenny Rios, CEO
Delhi Center
505 E. Central Ave.
Santa Ana, CA 92707
714-481-9601
