I am writing to urge you to approve a moratorium on
rent increases, evictions, and foreclosures, as proposed by the Tenants United Santa Ana coalition.
A few weeks after the start of this crisis, we are already seeing how Santa Ana residents are being impacted.
There are people who have already suffered a cut in working hours or have had to stop working completely to
take care of their relatives and they will have a lot of difficulty paying their rent next month. In the midst of a
global pandemic, our community needs nothing more to worry about.
Today more than ever they must act to protect the right to a home of every Santa Ana resident and ensure the
well-being of the children and families of Santa Ana.
You have the power to care for our community and pass a moratorium today.
Thank you,
Diana Salas [Support Staff
Clerk of the Council Office 120 Civic Center Plaza I Santa Ana, CA 92701
714-647-65201 dsalas@santa--aanaa..1jo4r,Q//p
yf e11"'i,.1;>
e SANTA ANA COUNrS
www.santa-ana.org
M
n nkrEl
www.ocvote.com
This e-mail (and attachments, if any) may be subject to the California Public Records Act, and as such, may, therefore, be subject to public disclosure
unless otherwise exempt under the Act.
