EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND <br />The City of Santa Ana is located in the County of Orange in Southern California. The City <br />encompasses 27.2 square miles and a population over 343,000 people. <br />The City of Santa Ana Public Works Agency— Water Resources Division oversees and maintains <br />the daily operations of the Water System and Sanitary Sewer System. The City of Santa Ana's <br />water system has an average day demand of about 43 MG with 45,000 services. It is comprised <br />of approximately 478 miles of water main, 45 MG of storage at 5 sites, 7 MWD connections, 21 <br />groundwater wells, 7 pump stations, 4 pressure regulating stations and utilizes 2 pressure zones <br />Per the City's most recent Master Plan dated 2017, the City has seven locations with ground <br />level storage tanks and one elevated storage tank. Three of the reservoirs are steel tanks and <br />the remaining seven are concrete tanks. There are three storage tanks (reservoirs) at the John <br />Garthe site. The following table has combined these three reservoirs at the John Garthe site to <br />form one reservoir with an equivalent diameter to represent the total storage volume available <br />at the site. <br />Cambridge Concrete 1.3 1 Variable 17.2 <br />Area <br />Crooke Concrete 6.0 1 Variable 21 <br />Area <br />John Garthe Concrete 15.8 3 277 35 <br />South Concrete 6.0 1 219 22 <br />Walnut Concrete 7.0 1 Variable 22 <br />Area <br />The City is soliciting proposals from qualified professional consulting firms to provide engineering <br />services to evaluate the concrete reservoirs only. The City shall select one firm to provide <br />these services. The City has budgeted $625,000 in study and design funds for this purpose over <br />a five year period. <br />DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT <br />The Consultant's scope of services shall include the following tasks: <br />Task 1 - Proiect Management: <br />The Consultant shall conduct a kickoff meeting with the City to discuss the goals and objectives <br />for the project.
