CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />PROJECT NO.: 20-6956 <br />OAS TAX LOCAL STREET IMPROVEMENTS FY 19/20 <br />PROJECT 20.6437 <br />FLOWER STREET SEWER MANHOLE IMPROVEMENTS <br />If a suspension of work is ordered by the Engineer, due to the failure on the pan of the contractor <br />to carry out orders given or to perform any provision of the contract, the days on which the <br />suspension order is in effect shall be considered working days. <br />SECTION 7 - RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CONTRACTOR <br />7-1 CONTRACTOR'S EQUIPMENT .AND FACILITIES <br />Add the following to this subsection: <br />Pursuant to the authority contained in Section 591 of the Vehicle Code, fire Department has <br />determined that, such areas a s are within the tintits of the project andare open to public traffic, the <br />Contractor shall comply with all the requirements set forth in Divisions 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 of <br />the Vehicle Code. Attention is directed to the statement in Section 591 that this Section shall not <br />relieve hint or any person from the duty of exercising due care. The Contractor shall take all <br />necessary precautions for safe operation of his/her equipment and the protection of the public from <br />injury and damage from such equipment. <br />7 2 LABOR <br />7-2.2 Prevailing Wages <br />Add the following to this subsection: <br />Certified Payroll Records shall be submitted to the Engineer every two week, beginning with the <br />actual start day of coustruction, and shall be consecutively unmbered until the completion of the <br />work. Progress payments will be withheld pending receipt of any outstanding reports. <br />The Contractor shall assure ttirit a qualified supervisor is present at all times when work is being <br />perfonned. <br />7.3 LIABILITY 1NSURANCE <br />Tha provisions of this subseah'on apply exrept as herein modified: <br />The Contractor shall provide insurance coverage limits as detailed in the Certificate of Liability <br />Insurance, The Certificate of liability Insurance is included in Appendix D of the Contract <br />Doctaneuts. <br />Professional Liability Insurance (mars and omissions) will only be required if Contractor employs <br />a licensed professional such as an architect or engineer for a component of the work When occurs, <br />Professional liability insurance, with a combined single limit of not less than $ 1,000,000 per claim <br />with $2,000,000 in the aggregate. <br />The Certificate of Liability insurance shall be provided by the successful BIDDER within ten (10) <br />business days, after the successful BIDDER has received notice that the contract has been awarded. <br />Failure to provide shall be just cause for the aim lment of the award and the forfeihue of the <br />proposal guaranty. <br />10 <br />(�v`CMT1 OV pN <br />6 zozo <br />
