I am calling in support of the One Broadway Plaza Project in Santa Ana. I'd like to begin by expressing just a few of many benefits. For the city as a whole. The results of this project will yield a magnificent 37 story building that will serve as a flagship landmark and beacon of what our city has to offer that I'm sure will attract more business, more investment and more opportunities for all of our residents and communities. For the environment. This building will help Santa Ana set a new standard on its march to becoming a more modern, more efficient and greener city by using the latest green building practices and building technologies. Its proximity to SARTC (Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center) will also compound the environmental and economic benefits further by encouraging residents to use public transportation which will help greatly reduce traffic and emissions. All in all, it will create a beautiful and better environment to live in that we will enjoy for decades to come. And for the people, and on a more personal note. This project will provide many valuable apprenticeship opportunities as well as 3,000 great high paying jobs for Santa Ana and other Orange County residents that I can personally attest to and without exaggeration say are life - changing. Not to mention the significant multiplier effect that this will have on other jobs. But, aside from all the many tangible benefits that this would bring us, it does something more. Something intangible, but equally important. It sets an example. An example of what our great city can be and can accomplish when we dare to not only think big but do big. An example of what great things can be accomplished when the people, labor, government, and industry work together in union to build communities and relationships where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts and everyone truly prospers. So, I urge the city council to take a bold step forward and lead us into a brighter future by approving the staff recommendation of the One broadway Plaza Project. Thank you. �3
