Any modification of <br />services/activities shall remain within the scope of defined PSSF service <br />categories and PSSF outcomes. CONTRACTOR shall not institute any modification <br />without prior, written approval of ADMINISTRATOR. The PSSF service categories <br />are as follows: <br />2.1.1 Family Preservation: Family Preservation services <br />typically are designed to help families alleviate crises that might lead to <br />out -of -home placement of children: maintain the safety of children in their <br />own homes; support families preparing to reunify or adopt; and assist families <br />in obtaining services and other supports necessary to address their multiple <br />needs in a culturally sensitive manner. Family Preservation services should <br />comprise approximately twenty-five (25) percent of the budget for total <br />services. FaCT-funded services must address a minimum of one (1) of the PSSF <br />outcomes for each contracted service (as specified in Subparagraph 2.2 of this <br />Exhibit). <br />2.1.2 Family Support: Family Support services are primarily <br />community -based preventive activities designed to alleviate stress and promote <br />parental competencies and behaviors that will increase the ability of families <br />to successfully nurture their children; enable families to use other resources <br />and opportunities available in the community; and create supportive networks <br />(FNH0209) <br />2 of 42 <br />(3/18/09) <br />
