Methodology <br />Willdan's construction management and inspection team strives to anticipate or diminish potential <br />conflicts/issues before they arise through continual review of project plans, specifications, contractor's <br />schedule, and other contract documents. Our team is adept at: <br />• Anticipating job site conflicts/issues <br />• Calling job site conflicts/issues to the City's Project Manager's and/or contractor's attention <br />• Offering constructive recommendations and achieving cooperation from the contractor <br />• Dealing with issues in a professional, straightforward fashion <br />Our approach to issue resolution is to: <br />• Obtain and document the facts surrounding the issue <br />• Develop reasonable solutions in conjunction with the contractor and City's Project Manager <br />• Respond quickly and effectively so that job progress and quality do not suffer <br />Through close communication with the City's project staff, timely corrective action is taken to alleviate <br />potential adverse impacts of work progress, costly change orders, and construction claims. <br />Project Administration <br />Our construction management services focus on coordination, <br />review, tracking, reporting, public outreach, cost control, and Our team members possess experience <br />using BOX and Procure and will provide <br />field inspections to ensure the quality of the work complies with <br />required documents utilizing this system or in <br />applicable funding requirements, Local Assistance Procedures accordance with Gty's direction. <br />Manual, and the contract documents. Willdan's construction <br />management team will coordinate and work proactively to assist <br />the contractor's construction efforts. They will maintain fluid channels of communication with the City's <br />design team to technically support the construction effort in achieving a successful project. <br />Once construction has begun, Willdan will monitor methods and progress to ensure the project is <br />constructed per the plans and specifications. <br />Key/Critical Issue Identification <br />There are many routine aspects that are common to the way every construction project is performed in <br />terms of construction administration and inspection as outlined in our scope of work. However, there are <br />some very important areas, also mentioned in our scope of work, that require special attention and are <br />not part of the routine process. These are: <br />• Institution of standard procedures for project records and inspection processes conforming to the <br />highest standards for permit inspection is necessary to have effective mitigation of future <br />maintenance issues. <br />• Schedule and cost management are priority areas for Willdan's inspection team. Our team provides <br />weekly and monthly reports detailing costs to date and projected final cost estimates. <br />• A project -specific quality assurance program is essential on complex projects to maintain orderly, <br />cost-effective, and comprehensive materials quality control. <br />Our experienced team members can identify and correct discrepancies, ambiguities, omissions, or <br />conflicts in plans, specifications, and bid schedules that might generate misinterpretation and/or lead to <br />agency and contractor disagreements. Our professionals are adept at anticipating issues before they <br />arise through continual review of project plans, specifications, contractors' schedules, and contract <br />documents. <br />Potential problems are brought to the attention of the City's Project Manager and/or the contractor, along <br />with constructive recommendations for solutions, so that costly delays and negative impacts to the public <br />and the project are avoided. <br />Statement of Qualifications for Water Resources <br />Construction Management and Inspection Services <br />25F-96 <br />
