Psomas staff <br />reviewed 60,000 feet of sewer system CCTV <br />tapes and made appropriate recommendations <br />for repairs where needed. The rehabilitation <br />design comprised a combination of CIPP <br />lining of approximately 2,830 feet of 8-inch <br />through 18-inch-diameter sewer in 11 separate <br />locations; UV -Cured Point Repairs (trenchless) <br />at 68 locations; removal and replacement of <br />approximately 860 feet of 8- and 10-inch-diameter <br />pipe in four areas; and point repairs to 8-inch <br />through 18-inch pipe at 14 different locations. <br />Psomas' responsibilities included preparation of <br />construction plans and specifications, bid phase <br />assistance, construction phase engineering, and <br />inspection services. <br />Coto de Caza Lift Station <br />Emergency Storage Basin <br />Rancho Santa Margarita, CA <br />CLIENT CONTACT. Arcon J <br />Psomas provided engineering services for the <br />design of an emergency storage basin (ESB) <br />for Santa Margarita Water District's (SMWD's) <br />Coto de Caza Lift Station. SMWD has a policy <br />to install ESB's at each of its lift stations. The <br />purpose of the ESB is to contain wastewater <br />from overflowing into the surrounding area during <br />an emergency event. The ESB was designed <br />to provide storage volume for three hours of <br />average daily flows. The ESB is a reinforced <br />concrete structure approximately 45 feet by <br />45 feet with a depth of 30 feet. The ESB was <br />designed with three chambers. Submersible <br />pumps in the first chamber pump into the second <br />chamber with gravity flow from the second <br />chamber to the third chamber. Key design <br />features include design of the cast -in -place <br />concrete ESB; submersible pump selection; <br />coordination of an existing SDG&E power supply <br />line relocation; construction of a retaining wall <br />and concrete drainage Swale between the ESB <br />and access road; access improvements to allow <br />a tanker truck access to the ESB; and design <br />City of Santa Ana I On -Call Water Resources Engineering Se26 <br />IE1E 1.7m0 PSOMAS <br />
