Major projects while with the firm have <br />included the hydrogeologic assessment and analysis of groundwater <br />basins in Southern and Northern California and the exploration for and <br />development of groundwater in those basins. Mr. LaPensee's current <br />focus has been on projects involving the development of groundwater in <br />Southern California groundwater basins encompassing the siting, design <br />and technical oversight of construction for municipal- and irrigation - <br />supply water wells. In addition, Mr. LaPensee has also provided technical <br />oversight in the siting, design and testing of aquifer storage and recovery <br />(ASR) wells and groundwater monitoring wells for hazardous waste sites. <br />Project Experience <br />City of Santa Monica Well Construction, Rehabilitation and <br />Destruction, Olympic Corridor Area, City of Santa Monica, CA: <br />Project Hydrogeologist for construction of two wells to a depth of <br />600-feet, rehabilitation of an existing well, and the destruction of an older <br />well. Currently in the bidding phase. Principal responsibility is as the <br />overall project manager on the project. <br />Well No. 29, City of Santa Ana, CA: Project Hydrogeologist for <br />in -progress hydrogeologic support to Psomas with regard to the <br />rehabilitation of City Well No. 29. Project involved the evaluation of <br />downwell conditions, preparation of project technical specifications, <br />and field oversight activities during rehabilitation of the well. Principal <br />responsibility is as the overall project manager. <br />Well No. 28D, Alondra Boulevard, Liberty Utilities Company (formerly <br />Park Water Company), Lakewood, CA: Project Hydrogeologist for office <br />and field hydrogeologic services to Liberty Utilities Company for the <br />preliminary and final designs and construction of the well. The well <br />was constructed to a depth of 1,060 feet and achieved a pumping rate <br />of 2,500 GPM, with a specific capacity of 70 GPM/feet ddn. Principal <br />responsibility was as the overall project manager on the project. <br />Well No. 12C, Liberty Utilities Company, (formertyPark Water Company), <br />Compton, CA: Project Hydrogeologist for office and field hydrogeologic <br />services to Liberty Utilities Company for the preliminary and final designs <br />and construction of the well. The well was constructed to a depth of <br />1,060 feet and achieved a pumping rate of 2,500 GPM, with a specific <br />capacity of 70 GPM/feet ddn.
