ARTICLE III <br />3.0 ATTENDANCE AND HOUR LIMITS <br />3.1 Attendance <br />Employees covered by this MOU shall be in attendance at their work during hours <br />prescribed by the Department Head or his/her designee(s) and shall not absent themselves <br />without approval of the Department Head or his/her designee(s). <br />3.2 Hour Limits <br />Persons appointed to a part-time civil service position work an average of twenty (20) to <br />thirty-nine (39) hours per week. <br />Pay periods for part-time civil service employees run from the eleventh (1111) of the month, <br />through the twenty-fifth (251) of the same month, and from the twenty-sixth (26") of the <br />month through the tenth (10 h) of the following month. <br />3.3 Hourly Conversion <br />Whenever reference is made to a required number of days, months, or years for frill -time <br />civil service employees in this MOU, an equivalent number of hours shall be substituted to <br />satisfy an equivalent requirement for part-time civil service employees as defined in <br />Section 3.2 of this MOU. <br />2019-2022 MOU City of Santa Ana & SEW Part -Time Civil Service Employees Unit ge <br />20C-13 <br />
