As such, the labor force is relatively skilled and
able to meet the needs of employers. However, as expanded upon below, due to the extremely low
unemployment rate in the City and region, employers are having an increasing challenging time in finding
employees who have the adequate skills (technical and soft) to continue to meet the needs of growing
businesses.
Through a strong transit network and provision of utilities (including broadband), and other
infrastructures, current businesses operating in the City have limited infrastructure needs.
Describe any major changes that may have an economic impact, such as planned local or
regional public or private sector investments or initiatives that have affected or may affect job
and business growth opportunities during the planning period. Describe any needs for
workforce development, business support or infrastructure these changes may create.
Consolidated Plan SANTA ANA 104
OMB Control No: 2506-0117 (exp. 06/30/2018) 75A-112
